Roofing SEO

Roofing SEO for roofers who want more jobs from Google Maps

A homeowner with a stained ceiling or missing shingles usually starts on Google. They type something like "roof repair near me", look at the map, open two or three roofing companies and compare photos, reviews and how long each one has been around. The roofers who get the call are the ones who look real, local and trustworthy in those few seconds.

We are DSVP Digital Service. Roofing SEO is the work of making your company that roofer: a complete Google Business Profile, a steady flow of honest reviews and a website that answers the questions homeowners ask before they let anyone on their roof. We do it all by email, so you can stay on the job site.

Start with a free Google Maps audit. We look at your listing by hand and tell you what is holding it back. There is no obligation.

What a strong roofing Google Business Profile looks like

This is the core of local SEO for roofing companies:

  • Primary category: the most specific roofing category that describes your main work, not a broad one. Google says to add only a few extra categories for other real lines of work, such as gutters, rather than one for every service.
  • Services: a separate entry for each job you actually do, for example roof repair, leak repair, roof replacement, shingle roofs, metal roofs, flat roofs, gutters, vents and inspections, each with a short plain description. Google does not allow prices or phone numbers in custom service names.
  • Business name: exactly what is on your trucks, yard signs and paperwork. Adding words like "Best Roof Repair" to the name breaks Google's guidelines and can get a profile suspended.
  • Service areas: the towns or ZIP codes you really cover, up to 20, within about two hours' drive of your base. If customers do not visit your office, the address stays hidden.
  • Photos: finished roofs from the street, close-ups of flashing, ridge vents and valleys, crews working safely, trucks with your name on them, and before-and-after pairs. Google reviews uploaded photos before they go live, and it can take a day or two.
  • Reviews: ask every customer after the final walkthrough, with a short link or QR code on the invoice. Google does not allow discounts or gifts for reviews, and you should not ask only the happy customers. Reviewers of service businesses can pick the service they received, so reviews often name the job, such as a roof replacement.

What your roofing website needs

A homeowner spending thousands on a new roof will almost always look at your website before they ask for a quote. It needs to answer their questions quickly on a phone.

  • One page for each main service: repairs, replacements, gutters and inspections, with real photos from your own jobs.
  • Your license number (where your state requires one) and proof that you carry insurance, since that is the first thing the FTC tells homeowners to check.
  • How your estimates work. The FTC says a written estimate should describe the work, the materials, the completion date and the price. Saying that you provide exactly this builds trust before the first visit.
  • If you do insurance work, a plain explanation of how you handle it. The FTC tells homeowners never to sign an insurance check over to a contractor, so avoid wording that sounds like that.
  • A list of the towns you serve that matches your Google service areas, and an easy contact form.

What is roofing SEO?

Roofing SEO is the work that helps your roofing company show up when nearby homeowners search Google for a roofer or a roof problem. For most roofers the biggest piece is the Google Business Profile in Google Maps, followed by reviews, consistent directory listings and a website with a page for each roofing service.

Is local SEO for roofers different from other trades?

The tools are the same, but the buyer is different. Many roofing jobs are large, planned purchases where homeowners compare several companies and check licenses, insurance and reviews first. So photos of finished roofs, clear service pages and visible license and insurance details matter more for roofers than for most trades.

Should I put "roofing" and my city in my Google business name?

Only if it is part of your real business name, the one on your trucks and paperwork. Google's guidelines do not allow extra keywords in the name, and breaking that rule can get your profile suspended. We use categories, services and descriptions to show what you do instead.

Can you guarantee my roofing company the top spot on Google Maps?

No, and nobody honest can. Google says you cannot pay for a better local ranking, and the searcher's distance from you is outside anyone's control. We work on everything you can control and show you what changed each month.

Do you run Local Services Ads or Google Ads for roofers?

No. We focus on your Google Business Profile, reviews and website. Local Services Ads are a separate paid product from Google, and Google requires advertisers to have a public, verified Business Profile, so the work we do is useful either way.

How soon will I see results?

Profile fixes usually show within days. More reviews and better rankings build up over the following weeks and months, depending on how many roofers compete in your area. We do not promise a timeline or a position.

Is there a contract or setup fee?

No setup fee and no long contract. Monthly plans run month-to-month; email us at least 7 days before your next billing date to cancel. You get a full refund if you ask within 5 days of a purchase or monthly charge.

Do I need to get on a call?

No. Everything is handled by email, which suits roofers who are up on roofs all day. Your Google profile and website stay in your name the whole time.
